Privacy Policy

Who we are

Truckies Toolbox, this website (truckiestoolbox.com.au) and the Truckies Toolbox apps, including Truckies Rest Log, are operated by Opus Novum PTY LTD, Melbourne, Australia (“we”, “us”, “our”). We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

Our apps

What we collect

Nothing that identifies you. Our apps:

• don’t ask you to create an account or sign in
• don’t collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts or location history
• don’t include analytics, advertising or tracking tools, and don’t track you across other apps or websites.

Your records stay on your device

Everything you enter, such as work and rest times, notes, truck details and settings, is stored on your iPhone. It isn’t sent to us, and we can’t see, access or recover it. If you delete the app, your records are deleted with it. If your iPhone backs up to iCloud or your computer, that backup is handled by Apple under your own settings.

Exports and sharing

If you export a PDF or CSV file, the file is created on your device. Where it goes next (for example, to your email, your employer or your accountant) is up to you.

Notifications

Alerts and reminders are scheduled on your iPhone. We don’t run a server that sends them, and we don’t receive any information about them.

Purchases

Purchases, such as the Truckies Rest Log Lifetime unlock, are processed by Apple through the App Store. We never receive your payment details or your Apple ID. Apple tells the app whether a purchase has been made so it can unlock features on your device. Apple’s handling of your information is covered by Apple’s own privacy policy.

This website

• No forms or accounts. The site has no sign-up or contact forms. Contact is by email only.
• No analytics or tracking. We don’t use analytics, advertising pixels or tracking tools.
• No cookies for visitors. The theme sets no cookies. WordPress may set cookies only for people who log in to manage the site.
• No third-party requests. Fonts and images are served from this site, so browsing it doesn’t send requests to font, advertising or analytics services.
• Server logs. Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records standard technical information when you visit (such as IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the time). These logs are used to run and secure the site, and we don’t use them to identify you.

If you email us

If you email support@truckiestoolbox.com.au, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include. We use it only to reply and help with your request, and we keep it only as long as we need to. We don’t add you to mailing lists. Our email and hosting providers may store data in Australia or overseas.

Sharing and selling

We don’t sell, rent or trade personal information, and we don’t share it with advertisers. We would disclose information only if required by law.

Future apps

Truckies Pay, Truckies Trips, Truckies Fuel and Truckies Loads are still in development. If any app ever needs to handle information differently from what’s described here, we’ll update this policy before that app is released.

Security

Because our apps don’t send your records to us, there’s no central store of user data to protect. For emails you send us, we use reputable providers and take reasonable steps to protect that information.

Access, correction and complaints

Under the APPs you can ask to access or correct personal information we hold about you. In practice, the only personal information we may hold is email you’ve sent us. To make a request or complaint, email support@truckiestoolbox.com.au. We’ll respond within a reasonable time. If you’re not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time, for example when we release a new app. We’ll post the updated version here with a new effective date.
